Another Art Guide, another year of great art and exhibitions! It’s our fourth issue and we are thrilled to let you know what’s happening in the arts in south coast Maine and seacoast New Hampshire. In 2015, be sure to check out the Maine Photo Project, a year-long celebration of everything photographic throughout the state at more than 30 museums, galleries and other non-profits. See the article on page 34 and listings in the calendar.

There are more historic houses and museums choosing The Art Guide this year to spread the word about their permanent collections, specials events and exhibitions. Please take some time to visit the Warner House, the Wentworth Lear Historic Houses, Strawbery Banke Museum and the Discover Center, all in Portsmouth,

as well as the Brick Store Museum in Kennebunk, the Kittery Naval and Historical Museum in Kittery and the Hamilton House in South Berwick.

Use The Art Guide as a resource for finding artists to visit and check out their work or look them up here on our website. Like Michael Stasiuk’s whimsical figure pointing to the color wheel on this year’s cover, we hope we head you in the right direction for the latest and best on the arts scene!
