Welcome to THE resource in one handy publication for the arts and artists of South Coast Maine and Seacoast New Hampshire! The artists of our region mean a lot to us! For the third year, we are devoting this publication to promoting them and the art, galleries and museums of South Coast Maine and Seacoast New Hampshire.

We have always envisioned The Art Guide as a RESOURCE– carried with you in your messenger bag, left on the front seat of the car, kept on the coffee table to share with others! It has never been a throw away—residents and tourists alike pick up copies and keep them all year!

Readers tell us they use The Art Guide as a guide for picking a town to travel to and explore for an afternoon, as a guide for shopping for that perfect gift, as a guide (and quick source for websites) to find the right photographer or the right artist for the job! And places like the Ogunquit Museum of American Art keep track of the many people who discover them through their ad. It makes us smile!

Check out the articles on carver extraordinaire John Haley Bellamy and the history of Garden Art. Karen Orsillo shows us how she creates her amazing neriage porcelain. Learn what artists are saying about the NH Artist Advancement Grant and what’s happening at Chases Garage in York.

We want to thank photographer Brad Maushart for this year’s cover art entitled Graphic Bow. Believe it or not, that’s a straight photo shot with color negative film—in camera, no crop, no photoshop!!! Think about that in this digital age.
